Visting the Dominican Republic Embassy

Hey Crew! Here are some pics I took when I went to visit the embassy! They gave me a bunch of flyers brochures etc.. but they are mainly for tourism purposes. I left them in Sophia's Office if anyone is interested in some :)

The purpose of the Dominican trip is to allow students the opportunity to come to know and work with the Dominican people. The work involves building projects as well as intermingling with the Dominican people, particularly the children. This trip allows students to put into action their leadership values. They learn about social justice and life issues in the Third World. It teaches humility, service, generosity and love. The initiative will be with the program Outreach 360. This is a non-profit organization headquartered in Glendale, Arizona. In 1994, they “adopted” the Hope of a Child Orphanage in Monte Cristi, Dominican Republic. The primary focus is on education – teaching English, literacy, and public health. During the school year, you will most likely be teaching in local grade schools. Our full-time on-site staff build relationships with the community to ensure we are meeting the highest priority needs
